Cookie and Local Storage Notice

Last updated: 13 August 2026

Hygiene Intelligence uses a small amount of browser storage to keep the service working, remember your choices, and, if you allow it, understand use of our public website.

Your Choice

Necessary storage is used to provide the service, keep accounts secure, and remember your consent choice. Optional Google Analytics is off unless you allow it. Offline app caching is disabled.

What We Use

Necessary storage helps with login, security, consent choices, and basic service preferences.

Optional Google Analytics helps us understand visits to public pages and whether people use selected parts of our meeting guide.

Offline app caching is currently disabled so private pages are not stored for offline use.

Analytics

Google Analytics stays off unless you allow it. If allowed, Google receives the public page visited, referral source, browser and device details, approximate location, campaign tags and selected guide actions such as copying the checklist, opening print, returning to the homepage or clicking the call section. We do not send private dashboard activity, client records, reports, account details or form contents to Google Analytics.

Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in our website connection. Google says it does not log or store individual IP addresses for UK users; it uses an IP address at collection time to derive approximate location before discarding it. Google may process analytics information outside the UK under its provider safeguards.

The optional Google Analytics cookies begin with _ga and are configured to expire after no more than six months. You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings; the website then disables Google Analytics and removes those cookies.

Consent Records

When you save your choices, we keep the choice, notice version, page path and date for up to 12 months so we can respect and evidence those choices. Your current choice is also stored in your browser until you change it or clear browser storage.

Contact Forms

When you submit a form, we use the details provided and the page you submitted it from to respond to your enquiry. Referrer, campaign tags and an anonymous analytics session identifier may be included in our own enquiry record only if you allowed optional analytics. We do not send the form contents to Google Analytics.
